York Handmade have been delighted to welcome several parties of students from Young Builders Trust to its factory to see
how bricks are made. The Young Builders Trust is a new initiative aimed at giving the building industry well trained craftsmen
and woman for tomorrows construction industry. It is accepted that the construction industry at large has a substantial problem
with obtaining craftsmen in various fields following the end of the old apprenticeship schemes, which were the main source
for skilled persons in the industry. The company is always happy to welcome students, apprentices or qualified professionals
to its factory to see how bricks are made "hands on".
