After a varied career within the world of pottery, he decided to return to basics at York Handmade.
He explained: “This is the perfect job for me. The clay, which is on site, is wonderful and the environment – in such a
splendid building – is ideal. It’s great to be back on the wheel again full-time, doing what I do best and doing what I love.”

David Armitage, chairman of York Handmade, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Gabriel to our company.
He is a superb potter and his exciting range of pots adds a fascinating and welcome new dimension to our portfolio
of products. Our new special products buildings, which has just opened, is the perfect base for him.”
