As a small company our lines of communication are short and you can always contact a key executive when you have enquiries about products, quality or delivery. A special aspect of our service is our ability to visit your site to match up to an existing brick wall which includes the facility to mix and match different bricks to create bespoke blends.

Remember that at York Handmade the customer comes first.

Millington Hall is a 16th century heritage public house and restaurant in Cheshire which required a special blend of Old Clamp to enable the extension to match in seamlessly to the original brickwork. This scheme used 55000 bricks and cost 800000 which transformed the Millington Hall pub into the magnificent building which stands there today. The scheme was shortlisted in the 2005 brick awards in the Best Refurbishment section. The new extension is on the left of the picture This project is a large office extension at a rural business park in Leicestershire. The original development was built in 1995 using reclaimed bricks and the challenge was to manufacture a brick with which to seamlessly extend the structure. By blending bricks from various different colour ranges together with purpose made specially-textured bricks all in a bespoke size the brief was fulfilled. The point at which the extension begins is perhaps more easily located by looking at the roof. The Old Clamp Blend mix can be altered to suit customers needs. This project demonstrates how crucial it is to use the correct size of brick to ensure the new courses match the old ones. Here a 73mm x 215 x 102.5mm special premix of Aldwark and Thirkleby blend are used to get an excellent match to the existing brick work shown on the left. At York Handmade we have the flexibility make to order any size bricks our customers require. Aldwark brick matching detail The Shanty - Formby The Shanty - Formby
