The company was commended for the best refurbishment project in the annual BDA awards for Myton Bridge near Boroughbridge in North Yorkshire. The project reflects the companys ability to produce more uniform Victorian style bricks through the extrusion process. The bridge was restored to its former glory in 2003.
Tattershall Castle is a National Trust property built in the 1440s on the site where an earlier castle had stood. The York Handmade Brick Company supplied standard 2 and specially made 2 inch Thirkleby Blend bricks for repairs to the inner moat wall.
Jesus College Cambridge is one of the most famous brick buildings in the United Kingdom. The parapets and chimneys had all suffered from the ravages of time and had to be rebuilt. York Handmade were able to supply the character and general all round appearance required.

This beautiful period house has been lovingly restored by its owners to its former glory. This involved taking off the render and repointing the underlying brickwork.
York Handmade provided the special pieces for restored head detail round the windows. Special bricks were also supplied for the coping on the turreted parapet.
